The City of Dublin Championships take place next weekend in Parnell Square in town.
The top two sections are FIDE-rated, which means only five games over the weekend; you’re free to spend Saturday evening ensuring Sunday’s games don’t go too well! The bottom two sections will have an extra round on the Saturday evening to bring them up to six-round affairs. The tournament is on in the Teachers’ Club on Parnell Square; registration is from 5:30 to 6:55, with the first round starting at 7pm and, more importantly, the Kazakhstan v Ireland match on live in the club bar.
Full info is available on the entry form, which can be downloaded here.
