As the league tables update, we look at how each of our five teams has been faring so far.
The Bodley is the only league not past the half-way mark, yet it may be the one where it’s most obvious what’s going to happen. The Bodley B’s group, for example, looks fairly straightforward –
Skerries – with five 1400s+ – and Blanchardstown B – with a four-time Irish champion on board 1 – are streaking ahead and look to be untouchable. For our part, only one other team has matched our score against Skerries, which has to reflect well on us. January is an insanely busy month for us with four games in total, including the rearranged game against Malahide. That will see us complete the first round of matches and give us a very good idea of where we can expect to finish. At present – with only two players with prior league experience – third place seems a reasonable target.
Luke-Andrew Feeney and Dylan Boland lead the way on 2/2, while Andrew Kyne-Delaney also has a 100% winning record, on 1/1.
