After over-achieving for most of the season, the Heidenfeld were dropped right back into the relegation mix after a 6-2 hammering against Naomh Barróg last night – a score only runaway leaders Celbridge have matched against us.
With just two rounds to go in all divisions bar the Bodley, it’s time for an update on the league tables…
The Bodley B put last week’s 4-1 defeat against Malahide behind them with a 4-1 thumping of second-placed Skerries last night – their third 4-1 win in a month.
Today’s two league games were successful affairs, with the Armstrong edging back above a 50% score while the Bodley A are hanging on to the coat-tails of the promotion race.
A month after beating Malahide 4-1, the Bodley Bs were brought back down to earth with a 4-1 defeat against the same team tonight.
There was only one Benildus player to take a schools honour this season, which of course means a trophy-less season for the school.
The O’Hanlon aren’t leaving Division 4 without a fight after a massive 5-1 win over Finglas last night, while the Heidenfeld picked up six draws en route to a 4-4 draw against Inchicore.
Odhrán McDonnell, Dylan Boland and Desmond Beatty gained almost 500 points between them as Gonzaga 2013 turned out to be one of the more successful weekends for the club in recent years.
