Just a few months after losing his World Title crown, Vishy Anand has qualified to challenge Magnus Carlsen in the next title match later this year.
Anand didn’t lose a single game in the candidates tournament, which has just finished, and finished a point clear of Sergey Karjakin. Svidler and Topalov – who’ve both been to Bunratty in recent years – were bottom of a very tight group containing eight of the top players in the world.
You can play through all the games here. Click on the game name above the board to bring up a drop-down menu showing all the games. It’s well worth finding a couple in an opening you play to see how the top players handle the positions.
The 2014 World Championship match will take place in November.
