Two of the more interesting Benildus games from Bunratty last weekend.
The 2015 O’Connell Cup and Philip Hogarty Rising Stars competitions will held on Sunday 10th May from 11am to 5pm in the ALSAA near Dublin Airport.
St Benildus are the holders of the O’Connell Cup, so touch wood we’ll have a team out to defend our title!
Last year, the O’Connell Cup was for under 900s, while the Rising Stars was for unrated players.
In case you’re looking for information about the charity blitz, it’s on Wednesday Feb 25th at 7:30 pm, and all other details are correct in this post.
Note that entry is capped at 64 players.
Last night’s games up the club saw an unexpected disaster for a previously cruising Bodley A, while the O’Hanlon pulled well clear of the drop after a bit win.
The Armstrong recovered from a hammering in Bray last time out to surprise outgoing champions Trinity.
Three Benildus players have been named in the Ireland training squads ahead of this year’s Glorney.
The O’Hanlon climbed out of the relegation zone – just – while the Bodley A took another step towards promotions in yesterday afternoon’s matches.
Next Wednesday is about the first night with no league or club championship matches on all season – so we’re going to bring back the thematic blitz.
