Edit – final standings added
The main club night will be back up and running next week (Wednesday 2nd September) from 8pm. There won’t be any club night this week due to the last round of the Senior Club Championships, so there’s no supervision available.
League fixtures for the coming season should be out in the next week or so, and we’ll be picking teams then.
We’re looking at starting the Frank Scott Shield on the usual Wednesday after Junior Cert results, which in this case would be 16th September. However, that (and the full schedule) is pending no clashes with Leinter league fixtures.
While googling something completely different, I stumbled across this set of photos from the 2006 Leinster Championships in Phibsboro.
There are I think five current or former Benildus players featured – see who you can spot!
The draw for the final round of the club championships, as well as the current standings (including tie break) is now available.
Gerry’s winning run in the club championships – dating back to at least 2003, and including all previous 8 games in the current format – was halted last night, and other results mean that there’s now six players going into the final round with a chance of getting their hands on the salver.
The upsets keep coming in the club championships – Desmond’s win over Ross in the one postponed round 3 tie is the latest – and it means we now have the draw for round 4, to be played this Wednesday at 7:30.
