The first two rounds of the Armstrong have been rated as the ratings policy on the top two leagues at least has changed.
Rather than rate the leagues in one go at the end of the season (in April/May), the ICU are trialling rating the leagues after every round or two. This means that bonus points won’t apply as the “tournaments” will only be a round or two; bonus points need a minimum of five rounds. And it means that good early-season league form may be enough to get players to play up a section in weekenders.
The gains and losses over the two rounds are largely small – though it’s worth noting Aodhán’s 80-point gain for beating Dave Willow in the Armstrong derby!
The bottom five leagues haven’t changed as yet – but may do in the future.
