There were three league matches on last night in a hectic night up the club – the more so as half of them were over within an hour, and one threatened to go on literally all night!
The ever-popular Leinster Junior Championships are now taking entrants for the 2017 edition, to be held in the usual venue of the Esplanade Hotel in Bray in the first few days of the new year. Full details are here.
The first Week in Review of the season sees a bit of a hammering for the Armstrong, a couple of 100% records continuing in the O’Hanlon, and sibling rivalry in the O’Sullivan B.
The O’Sullivan A picked up their first points of the campaign with a typically topsy-turvy O’Sullivan win in Naomh Barróg last night.
The Bodley were the last of our seven teams to get their season underway with a trip to newly-relegated Balbriggan at the weekend, with an understrength side going down to a 3½-1½ defeat.
The draw has been made for the third round of the Frank Scott Shield, to be played on 2nd November at 7:30.
Round 2 saw the end of the sparring in the Frank Scott Shield – the top six seeds are all still on 2/2 and will face each other in round 3.
Two of the O’Sullivan B’s upcoming home games – against Skerries and Gonzaga B – have been brought forward a week. They will now be played on 26th October and 23rd November respectively in order to avoid a clash with rounds 3 and 5 of the Frank Scott Shield, and the fixture list has been updated for this.

The Heidenfeld won big again in Inchicore on Thursday night, and even though there’s only one other round 3 match played as yet, we will be top of the table going into round 4.
