There’s 18 players signed up for the 2017 senior club championships, which start next Wednesday. Entry will close this Friday, with the draw for the first round available shortly after that. So if you want in, get in touch before then!
The top seed will have white if either of this week’s Confederations Cup semi-finals go to extra-time. In the last 12 Confederations Cups, European Championships, World Cups and Copa Americas, 6 semi-final ties have gone to extra time, so it seems reasonable to assume this is roughly a 50/50 chance!
Felix and Danny have been selected to represent Ireland in tournaments in the Czech Republic and Romania this autumn.
Entries are now being taken for the 2017 senior club championships, with the first round to be held on 5th July from 7:30pm.
The list of motions to be debated at the upcoming LCU AGM has been released and is below. The club committee is taking club members’ votes to direct the club representatives on how to vote at the AGM – so if anyone has any views, feel free to get in touch.
