The Easter break meant our smallest ever round of the Blitz Grand Prix, but it was no less keenly contested for all that!
Gonzaga’s five-year winning streak was finally broken in the 2018 charity blitz, but for the third time in four years, a runner-up spot was the best the home club could manage. And more importantly, the sum of €1,270 was raised for local charities over the course of the evening.
A reminder that round 3 of the 2018 Blitz Grand Prix is this Wednesday, starting at 8pm.
The BEA South fell to a whitewash defeat against a very strong Kilkenny defeat in yesterday’s league action, while the Bodley South now just need a 2½-2½ draw in their last match to earn promotion.
A reminder that the 2018 charity blitz is on tonight. Entry from 7:30; numbers capped at 64; entry €15 waged/€10 unwaged and we’ll be underway about 8pm.
The snow has messed around with our scheduling slightly, hence the short notice, but – the 2018 Charity Blitz will take place next week, the 21st.
