A note of a couple of upcoming tournaments which may be of interest.
A new DCU Open is on in two weeks, with Open and U1400 sections.
The Irish Junior Championships are on the following weekend in Coláiste Éanna, with age groups from U8 to U19.
The Malahide Millennium is back, incorporating the Leinster Championships as usual. It’s on over the Easter weekend.
Our squad for the NCC is nearly finalised; we’ll be hoping to make it to the ECC in Albania later this year.
And keep an eye out on a new rapid tournament in the city centre in May. With limited entry and a rating floor of 1600, it promises to be quite competitive.
