Yubo took his first Blitz Grand Prix win in our first tournament since Feb 2020 to have players pick up no Grand Prix points, as entry exceeded 20 players, boosted by four of Vjeko’s students.

Round 2 of the 2023 Blitz Grand Prix is on this week, starting at the usual time of “When Ciarán arrives” (or around about 8pm). Usual story – six rounds, over by 10pm.
The 2023 blitz grand prix has belatedly gotten underway, but it’s done so in the same way the 2020 tournament ended – with a comprehensive win for Kavin. Round 2 is this week!
Continue ReadingThe 2023 Blitz Grand Prix will get underway on Wednesday at 8pm. It’s a new tournament, so points are (finally!) reset to zero and everyone is back in with an equal chance of the top spots or the grading bands.
Kavin is only the second player to win the Frank Scott Shield twice after confirming a 100% winning record at the tournament conclusion last month.
