The final league tables and the new ratings after the Bodley are now available.
As previously posted, we finished the season third in both groups, our best Bodley season yet. This is how the league tables ended up –
Our Bs were denied promotion by bottom side Naomh Barróg, who took 5½ points off us and none at all off Skerries. Round Tower’s dominance in the A group was such that a score of less than 50% was still good enough for third!
The ratings have been updated as well. St Benildus players recorded the biggest points gain in both divisions – Jamie Kearns gained a whopping 388 points to reach 1437, while Luke-Andrew Feeney is up 352 points to 785. Colm Hehir was the only other player to gain more than 100 points, up 196 to 842.
it is nice to see so many juniors do well and gain rating points.kevin when is the final selection for the glorey cup teams being made.Looking forward to seeing you next year in bea.Jamie well done on your new rating however now your over the 1200 mark the 150 point rule apply s meaning you will have to play board 1 unless some of your team mates are with-in the 150 points limit between your rating.looking forward to playing you next season.
Glorney Cup is based on the May rating list. So only Malahide to go.
I don’t think I will be on the Bodley next year so it shouldnt really matter but thanks
jamie thats what i’m counting on hopefully you will either be in bea or o’hanlon,i’m hoping both of your bodley teams are promoted to the bea for next season but we will have to wait and see.
On current ratings, he’ll be on the Heidenfeld next year, Leon. You’ll have to get your skates on to catch up!
kevin to answer one of your questions you posed on lcu site i think bodley prizes are being given out this wednesday as we play blanchardstown b in the play-off for cup.not sure if your board prizes will be posted out you may need to contact peter scott for more information.
Well if I play like I did in malahide I won’t be on any team next year haha
You’ll be on my team!
Kevin/John well done on getting four players onto the provisional squads for the Glorey cup but i’m very surprised Jamie did not get a mention as he has had a great season.one bad tournament should not have counted against him and he should not really have lost too many rating points from malahide.if the squads are solely based on rating he should have made the squad assuming his 1400 plus rating is correct.By the way Ciaran we will catch up with you soon enough.
Jamie’s too old for the Glorney.
Not to be pedantic, but the Glorney is the under-18 competition. The under-14 one that Jack and Mihailo were in the running for is the Robinson Cup apparently.
Well, true. We’ve nobody near u18 level, so I was taking as read that it was the u14s we were looking at.
And apparently you have to be over 1900 to get on the u18 squad
Yeah, nothing to it. 200 points a year will do it. And your average is 350 points a year!
Well if they bring in the u16 section I should get on that
Well, there is a Leinster u-16 team. So keep an eye out for that in the summer.
